Administration
Overview
The Department of Administration can be said to be as old as the Centre. The Department provides the proper indirect framework to the delivery of patient care. Such indirect in-puts affect the effectiveness, acceptability, accountability and economy of the services rendered to the patients. The proper operation of the entire hospital therefore is geared towards the efficient management of its resources like men, money, materials, information, time, etc.
- The Director of Administration therefore, apart from heading the Directorate of Administration, is the Head of a separate and independent Central Administrative Department consisting of the following:
- Administrative Department
- Finance and Supply Department
- Works and Service Department
- Security Department
- Catering Department
For the smooth operation of the services of each department is headed by a functional head who is responsible to the HoD Administration.

The Department which includes the office of the Director of Administration is statutorily responsible for the Board of Management affairs.

Services
Housing unit
The day-to-day operations are coordinated by the Housing Supervisor under the direction from Housing Manager. Housing Unit operates a 24-hour service from Monday to Friday with on-call duties during Saturdays and Sundays. The allocation for housing in all accommodation is the responsibility of Housing unit according to the position and work needs. Housing unit provides more comfortable and fully furnished accommodation ready for occupancy by the hospital staff.
The Human Resource Scope of Service
The scope of human resource consists of acquisition, development, maintenance / retention and control of human resources. It includes all activities starting from manpower planning till employee leaves the organization.
Personnel Aspect
This is concerned with manpower planning, recruitment, selection, placement, transfer, promotion, training and development.
Employee Welfare aspect
This is concerned with working conditions and amenities such as housing, transport, medical assistance, education, health and safety, recreation facilities.
